Subbing at the Brunswick Winter Market

Thank you for your interest in becoming a substitute vendor at our market. Below you will find the information you need to get started. The opportunity to sub depends on a space becoming available when a regular vendor is absent. Sometimes we know of availability months in advance and at times the day before the market day. Filling-in can cover multiple weeks or for one day and there are no guarantees. Preference is given to local small business owners who produce/create their own product. Non-profit organizations are welcome to apply; those selling items will be required to pay the daily fee. 

Here are the steps to get started:

• Fill out a Substitute Vendor Application
• Have your state-required permits and paperwork available to submit prior to the day you’re scheduled to be at market
• Proof of liability insurance is required and when requested, submitted directly from your insurance company prior to your scheduled date
• When a space becomes available you will be contacted by the Market Manager with the details 
• On most occasions you will be occupying a space which has a table or other space to display your goods. In some situations you may occupy an empty space and will need to bring your own setup. 
• You will be required to be fully set up and ready when Market starts at 9:00am. There are carts you can use to help assist with moving product. The market closes at 12:30pm. No carts are allowed on the floor after 9:00 or before 12:30pm.  
• All vendors, both subs and regular, must park behind the Fort along the river. All spaces there are available for us to use during the market hours
• Familiarize yourself with the Market Rules and Bylaws
• Payment is requested at the beginning of the day you’re subbing with the rate determined by the daily rate for all vendors
